Leavenworth, Kansas: Something’s Afoot! By the River City Community Players is a zany, entertaining musical that takes a satirical poke at Agatha Christie mysteries and musical styles of the English music hall of the ’30s. Ten people are stranded in an isolated English country house during a raging thunderstorm. One by one they’re picked off by cleverly fiendish devices. Kansas City, MO: Hoops fans flock to Kansas City every March, as the capital of college basketball hosts more games in a month than anywhere else in the country. In 2020, the total comes to 72 teams and 67 games in just 21 days. Between the MIAA Women’s and Men’s Basketball Championships (March 4-8), the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships (March 11-14 and 12-15) and the NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship (March 18-24), there’s never a dull moment of action this year.
