Clay County, Missouri: Spring into unparalleled amounts of fun at The Sandbox! EVENTS: Leavenworth, Kansas: Something’s Afoot! By the River City Community Players is a zany, entertaining musical that takes a satirical poke at Agatha Christie mysteries and musical styles of the English music hall of the ’30s. Ten people are stranded in an isolated English country house during a raging thunderstorm. One by one they’re picked off by cleverly fiendish devices. As the bodies pile up in the library, the survivors frantically race to uncover the identity and motivation of the cunning culprit. Show times are Feb. 28-29, March 6-7, 13-15th, 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm. Kansas City, MO: Hoops fans flock to Kansas City every March, as the capital of college basketball hosts more games in a month than anywhere else in the country. In 2020, the total comes to 72 teams and 67 games in just 21 days. Between the MIAA Women’s and Men’s Basketball Championships (March 4-8), the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships (March 11-14 and 12-15) and the NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship (March 18-24), there’s never a dull moment of action this year. While in town, don’t pass up on The College Basketball Experience, a hands-on hoops haven perfect for players of every age.

Lansing, Kansas: Spring Break Camp at the Lansing Community Library! March 16-20, 1st and 2nd graders can spend three hours a day doing awesome crafts, having oodles of fun, and enjoying a pizza party on the final day of camp. Only $45! Questions? Call 913-727-2960, spots are limited.

ATTRACTIONS: Overland Park, Kansas: Socializing is a sport at Topgolf. Have no golf experience? Fun isn’t limited to the pros here. There’s something for a wide range of skills and levels. Gardner, Kansas: Enjoy a “blast from the past” with the kids (or without) during spring break this year when you visit Blazers Restaurant. Known by some locally as Blazer Burger (their namesake), they’ve served the Gardner community for over 40 years.
