Summer Concert Series

Kansas City makes for a perfect music destination. With large arenas, intimate venues, amphitheaters and more outdoor concerts and festivals than you can image, it's easy to find your live music fix. It can be hard to stay on top of what all shows are happening in the KC area but luckily we’ve got a few major highlights for you for the next few months. Check them out!

While Kansas City touts a wide range of unforgettable event venues, there’s simply nothing quite like witnessing a concert at Sprint Center, a jaw-dropping facility that operates as one of the busiest arenas in the country. Enjoy stadium seating, premier concessions and an unparalleled sound system this July as pop superstar Shawn Mendes takes the stage with special guest Alessia Cara (July 19). Check it out:

Enjoy live music in Olathe at Stagecoach Park on July 26th. Bring the whole family and listen to the Elton John Experience, The Who Generation (A Tribute to The Who). Ready for some live music in Clay? Add the Kearney Amphitheatre’s Country Showdown concert to your calendar! Scheduled August 3rd, the Kearney Country Showdown features several popular local country artists, including: Noe Palma, Travis Marvin, and State Line Drive! See more info:

Kick back at the Summer Concert in West Flanders Park in Shawnee on Friday, August 9th at 6:30 p.m. Locally famed band Vinyl Revival will be jamming on stage and you can plan to grab a bite to eat at a local food truck! We encourage you to bring lawn chairs! More details here:

Leavenworth Live! Free outdoor summer concert. 2nd Saturdays in July and August at Haymarket Square, 7th and Cherokee from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. July 13th will feature the band Southern Reign. Bring your lawn chair, and appetite! 10 Penny Restaurant will have their grill and Main Street Association will have beer and beverages! No coolers please! Find out more here:

Enjoy an evening with Abel Ramirez Big Band, a 17-piece band that performs classic big band jazz in the style and tradition that made Kansas City famous. It will be at the Outdoor Stage at the Lenexa Civic Campus at 7:00 P.M on September 13. Find out more here:

Merriam Drive Live is the place to be on Saturday, October 5 in downtown Merriam. This new music fest/street party runs 11am-6pm and features great local bands, tasty food trucks, fun family games, select crafters, farmers’ market vendors, cold beverages and more! Visit for more information!

Enjoy red carpet entertainment at Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway every Saturday night. Sing along and groove to live music on the casino floor from accomplished musicians. From country to disco, Hollywood Casino has the right music for you.
