From haunted houses and eerie trails to ghostly legends and not-so-scary family festivals, join us on an exciting quest to unearth and embrace the supernatural, embark on the unknown, and explore all the Halloween happenings across Kansas City.




Liberty, MO - Spooky Trail Hunt Join Liberty Parks & Rec for its annual Spooky Trail Hunt Oct. 20 - 31. Search for the 12 ghosts hiding along Cameron's Trail of Trees at Stocksdale Park (901 S. LaFrenz Rd). The trail is a .5-mile paved loop, easily accessible by stroller, bike or walkers of all fitness levels. Complete the activity sheet to find the ghost's spooky warning, then turn it in to the Liberty Community Center (1600 S. Withers Road in Liberty) for a Halloween treat! Shawnee, KS – Historical Hauntings Historical Hauntings is a real scream! Slither by Shawnee Town 1929 Museum on Saturday, October 28 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm for a family–friendly evening of trick–or–treating, tractor hayrides, Farmstead house tours, photo ops, and costume contests with five separate categories and prizes! Gardner, KS – Boo Bash Join us, Thursday, October 26th, at Celebration Park for Gardner Parks and Recreation’s 27th Annual Boo Bash! Activities for all from 6-8:30 pm, with low sensory time from 5:30-6 pm. It will be an evening full of spooky activities, ghastly games and rides, a haunted trail and lots of candy and prizes! Little ghosts and goblins can come dressed up and have a night of wicked fun! There will be entertainment for all, along with prize drawings throughout the night! Wristbands are sold in advance at Gardner City Hall for $4 and can be purchased at the event for $5. Wristbands are required for activities, games, and rides- parents do not need a wristband. Lenexa, KS – Enchanted Forest Lenexa transforms Sar Ko Par Trails Park into an enchanted forest on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Take a hayride, decorate a pumpkin, enjoy live music, and a fire show, and pick up some candy along the way. Admission is free. On-site and nearby neighborhood parking is limited. A free shuttle will operate from 5 to 8 p.m. from the business park at 95th Street and Lackman Road. Merriam, KS – Halloween Happenings Get ready to put on your most awesome costume and join us for a spooktacular Halloween celebration at Halloween Happenings in downtown Merriam! It's all taking place on Saturday, October 21, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. We're thrilled to invite you and your family to the Merriam Marketplace for an afternoon of ghoulishly good times. There will be plenty of fun activities waiting for you, including games, an Instafun photo booth, and so much more!

Leavenworth, KS – Haunted Speakeasy and Haunted History Tours The Thomas Building in Leavenworth KS has spooktacular events planned throughout the month of October. Friday, October 13th will be a fun Haunted Speakeasy, with spooky cocktails and food along with tarot card readings and a Haunted History Tours of the building. Saturday, October 28th will include a main course meal and tour of the upstairs and basement with a behind the history tour of the building. Bonner Springs, KS – Exiled: Trail of Terrors If you’re looking for serious scares, look no further than Exiled: Trail of Terrors. This isn’t your ordinary haunted house…Exiled Trail of Terror is a self-guided half-mile hike of horror deep in the dark woods of Bonner Springs. You and your friends must face your worst fears by clawing your way through the evil forest. This adventure is not for the faint of heart. If you’re scared of getting dirty, sweating, or hiking through darkness, Exiled is not for you! Tickets are sold online; all tickets are a timed, fast-pass entry system to minimize wait times. Exiled is open September 30 through October 29 on Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets are available online.
