The holiday season is upon us, and the Kansas City area has no shortage of holiday happenings to fill your stocking and make your cup spill over with joy. From candle lightings to Santa sightings, the festive spirit is alive and well. Check out a few of this

Gardner

KC Pumpkin Patch and KC Wine Co invite you out to the farm to walk in the ‘Rockin Winter Wonderland’ this holiday season. Take in the sights and sounds for the holidays. Festivities run select weekends beginning November 26th (5:30pm nightly). Get some socially responsible photos with the guest visitor from the North Pole. Kansas City, KS

Light up your holiday season with a Legendary Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 13th at Legends Outlets Kansas City.  The event takes place at the fountain from 5-8pm and features live music, family-fun activities, prizes, photo booth and entertainment. Lenexa

The start of the holidays in Lenexa is December 3 rd when they light up the night at Sar Ko Aglow! At 6pm, the official lighting ceremony takes place at Sar Ko Par Trails Park. Thousands of lights are turned on and will illuminate the park thru January 17th.

If shopping is more your thing, don’t miss the fourth annual Lenexa Holiday Farmers Market on Saturdays, Nov. 20 or Dec. 18 (10 a.m.–1 p.m.). This open-air market features over 20 local artists and vendors selling everything from food to body care products and even gifts for your four-legged friends!(Market held at Lenexa Civic Campus parking garage, 17201 W. 87th St. Pkwy., Lenexa,

Christmas morning wouldn’t be complete without a few gifts under the tree and Santa won’t know what to bring if he doesn’t get any letters. Thankfully Merriam has you covered with their “Letters to Santa!” Stop by the Merriam Community Center at 6040 Slater Street to mail your letters to Santa! From November 20 to December 4, you

Shopping is always better with a glass of wine in one hand which is why you’ll want to enjoy the 11th annual Belvoir Winery Holiday Sip and Shop. It's called the "best local shopping event of the year" for a reason, with vendors ranging from women's boutiques, home decor, jewelry and more. Belvoir will have free wine tastings too!
