Shawnee, KS: Pups are welcome at Transport Brewery! In fact, you’ll most likely be greeted by the local celebrity Stella, the manager’s dog! Gardner, KS: Dogs like to shop local, too! That’s why you should make your way to Gardner Pet Supply, one of the area’s favorite locally-owned pet stores, serving Fido and your favorite feline’s every need. Kansas City, KS: Wyandotte County Lake and Park is the perfect place for a pet-friendly outing. The lake and park offers 1,500 acres of wooded area, a 400-acre lake, marina and playgrounds, and an abundance of fishing opportunities. Merriam, KS: From stores who welcome pooches to shop with their owners to hotels offering pet-friendly stays, your pup is welcome in Merriam. You can even schedule a grooming session during her visit so she's fresh and clean upon pick-up. Lenexa, KS: PawsAbilities provides skills training and job placement for people with disabilities in Kansas City, making artisanal, all natural dog treats. They also offer, bandanas, toys and special occasion treats. Shawnee Mission Off Leash Dog Park and Beach is where it's at for dogs with a sense of adventure and social interaction.
